Engage Jeffco Schools – Putting the public back in public education

Jeffco Public Schools has been subject to a federal review over the federal government’s current interpretation of Title IX.

Engage Jeffco Schools let the Jeffco Board of Education know we support them and the fight to follow Colorado law and ensure all Jefferson County students are safe, supported, and valued.

Jeffco Public Schools partnered with Common Flame Justice Team to host a School Board Advocacy Training watch party. The training was given by PFLAG National.

This event covered advocating to school boards for supportive, affirming learning environments for all students. View the training recording here.

Educational Series: Prop NN and how it funds schools without raising taxes

Prop NN lets Colorado use revenue it already collects to invest in K-12 public schools without raising taxes. For too long, an outdated cap has held schools back, making it harder to pay educators livable wages, reduce class sizes, and offer career and technical education programs students need. Voting yes on Prop NN helps keep educators in the profession and gives students more opportunities to succeed. View the presentation on NN.

Engage Jeffco Schools encourages members to join the DAC

DAC serves as an advisory committee to the Board of Education, providing parent and community perspectives on important issues including district budgeting, improvement planning, student achievement, and family engagement. To learn more or apply, visit the Jeffco DAC webpage.
