DESCRIPTION:At Engage Jeffco\, we encourage our members to attend school board meetings\, learn about policies\, and advocate for equitable access to high-quality education in Jeffco. But have you ever been unsure about how to best advocate to the Jeffco Board of Education (BOE)? Have you wondered if it is more effective to send an email to the Board of Directors or to show up at a board meeting and speak? Have you questioned\, “Does the school board even have control over the topic I am commenting on”?\n\nWe have.\n\nFormer Jeffco BOE Director Dr. Danielle Varda will present on what the BOE’s roles and responsibilities are and how to effectively have your voice heard by them.
